2011 Tax-Deductible Donations
Please do not file your 2011 tax return before receiving your GRX Fremont donor acknowledgement letter. If you are planning to make any contributions for the 2011 tax year and want the contribution to appear on your receipt, your gift must be physically delivered or postmarked by Dec. 31, 2011. Simply dating your check “Dec. 31, 2011” will not constitute deductibility.
Contributions acceptable for 2011 tax deduction:
Checks written, deposited in the mail AND postmarked in December but not received by the church until January 2012.
Contributions acceptable for 2012 tax deduction:
Checks written in December but deposited in offering in January 2012.
Checks written & deposited in offering in December but “postdated” to January 2012.
Checks written & deposited in the mail in December BUT not postmarked until January & not received by the church until January.
